Ras Nas is among the poets at this year's Oslo Mela Slam. The event is one of the many happenings during Oslo Mela Festival to be held at the Oslo City Square from 18th - 20th August.

Mela Slam, which includes poets such as Umar Bin Hassan (The Last Poets) and Rim Ghebramariam, will take place on Sunday 20th.

Oslo Mela is the biggest multicultural festival in Norway and has been held since 2001. Last year, the festival attracted a crowd of 200000 people in a course of three days.

Other activities include live music shows by artists from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America; dance, puppetry, mushaira readings and children shows.
