Ras Nas was the headliner at this year's Galle Music Festival in Galle, Sri Lanka. The Festival took place on 4th-5th December and included a number of local acts from all parts of the country. Ras Nas also played at Park Street Mews in Colombo on 7th December. This was Ras Nas' first appearance in Sri Lanka."It was nice to see how well we were received by the public, both at Galle and Colombo," says Ras Nas to Kongoi.com.

The Galle Music Festival is a project undertaken under a cultural exchange programme between Norway and Sri Lanka. The festival, which took place at Samanala Palam Grounds, was well attended. This year's festival was the first in what is hoped to be an annual event for years to come. According to the organizers, the Galle Music Festival aims to reach out to musical talents at a grass root level in Sri Lanka.

The main event in Galle was preceded by number of regional auditions and training workshops. A number of pre-events including screening and selection of applicants from various parts of the country had already taken place with live regional auditions in five regional locations. Bands from Colombo, Negombo, Jaffna, Matara and Kandy performed.
