Wolves a poem by Nasibu Mwanukuzi aka Ras Nas from TanzaniaWolves

Wolves
Have a unique character
Most of us have seen them
And if you have not
O what a pity

Their unity
Seems concrete
Especially
When they are chasing their prey

You can lose your breath
For they have no mercy
Surely your heart will skip
A beat
If you stay and watch
Their deadly tactics

Check the way they run
After their target
But stay out of sight
For if they get your scent
Upon you they will commence

Check also
The way they bite
With bitter cruelty
Taking lumps of flesh
From their wriggling prey
And feel so fresh

But wolves are clever

The moment they bite
They secretely rub their mouths
In the scattered sand
And continue to eat their prey

Why?

Because wolves
Mistrust each other.
