Sweet Rhythms

Poetry by Nasibu Mwanukuzi{mosimage}Sweet Rhythms

We cling in embrace
two bodies washed clean
by the spending morning sun
at the virgin riverside
listening to the sweet rhythms
of untouched water passing
softening the rocks
in the infancy of our love

Two hearts bleeding honey
lost in the ecstacy
of the rising sun
unaware of the
coming dusk
of dust
and ashes
in the dark folds
of time!
