Double Focus is a collection of poems written by Ras Nas aka Nasibu Mwanukuzi, a poet and musician from Tanzania. Published by Kongoi Productions, this collection contains poems touching on wide ranging existential issues from love, happiness and joy to contemplation and reflection on life. Some of the poems from Double Focus have been made into songs, like Sweet Rhythms, Way Over Yonder and River Nile. Ras Nas has also recited his poetry in many occasions. This includes at a concert for Nelson Mandela in Oslo. Most of Ras Nas poems have been published in magazines and anthologies around the world. The poem River Nile appears on Ras Nas CD "Dar es Salaam" in a laid back jazzy reggae feeling spiced up by an intricate horn section of Rolf Nystrøm and Halvor Voldstad, coupled with the guitar solo of Knut Reiersrud and a crucial rootical drum pattern by Uriel Seri. The latter, from Ivory Coast, has also played with African reggae icon Alpha Blondy.
